2025 Alaska ACTE Professional Development Conference

 Join CTE educators, administrators, and industry partners from across Alaska for four days of powerful learning, networking, and statewide collaboration. Whether you join for a single event or the full experience, each day is designed to build strong connections between education and workforce.

In Alaska your ACTE membership is included in the Full Conference Package and the Main Conference 2 Day Event conference registration fee ($80 national and $45 Alaska state dues).

Full Conference Package (October 12-15) $675:

Includes all four days of programming (pre-conference, main event, post-conference), plus the awards luncheon and all meals.

Main Conference 2 Day Event Only (October 13 & 14) $475:

Includes full access to keynotes, breakout sessions, the awards luncheon, and evening networking events.

  • Monday, October 13:
    Keynote address and breakout sessions led by educators, industry partners, and state leaders. Topics include career discovery tools, student-run business success stories, AI and AKCIS integration, launching student-run businesses, and innovative strategies for building bold school-to-industry partnerships. Attendees will also enjoy meals, full session access, and an evening networking mixer.
  • Tuesday, October 14:
    Morning keynote and ACTE breakout sessions, followed by industry-led panels and sector-specific breakout groups in the afternoon. Topics include healthcare, construction, energy, hospitality, and more. Educators and employers will work together to identify barriers, build partnerships, and design actionable plans for student pathways.

Pre-Conference Only (October 12) $100:

          Option 1: Pre-Conference CTE Site Visits Kick off your conference with an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at two of Anchorage’s most dynamic CTE centers. Tour Kusilvak Career Academy, where students from rural Alaska live and learn, exploring dorm life, recreation spaces, and day-to-day student life with student guides. Then head to King Tech High School for an in-depth look at cutting-edge CTE programs preparing students for Alaska’s workforce. This full-day experience offers a unique window into how schools are bridging education and career readiness. Transportation and lunch provided.  

          Option 2: Kick off your conference experience with a hands-on look at Alaska’s leading workforce training programs. Start the day at Northern Industrial Training in Palmer, where you’ll explore classrooms, simulators, and heavy equipment training spaces, and enjoy a boxed lunch and Q&A session on pathways, certifications, apprenticeships, and industry partnerships. The afternoon will feature an additional site visit (TBA) to showcase how Alaska’s unions and industry partners are preparing students for high-demand careers. Transportation provided from the Captain Cook Hotel.

Post-Conference Only (October 15) $100:

          From Insight to Action: Workforce Tours & Talks

Cap off your conference experience with a full day of networking, hands-on learning, and site visits designed to strengthen workforce partnerships. The morning features presentations from regional training centers, the Alaska Workforce Investment Board, and industry leaders across key sectors such as healthcare, construction, and maritime. Learn how training programs, postsecondary institutions, and employers are aligning efforts to support Alaska’s future workforce. These sessions will feature the Alaska AHEC are more.

After a networking lunch, choose to stay for more workforce talks or choose from two immersive afternoon tours:

  • Alaska Native Medical Center: Meet professionals in patient care, allied health, and operations while exploring a major healthcare facility.
  •  University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA): Dive into workforce education pathways and explore labs, programs, and partnerships preparing students for Alaska’s in-demand careers.    
   

Awards Luncheon Only (October 14) $75

Alaska ACTE PDC Vendor Fair $700

Showcase your products, programs, or services to over 100 CTE educators, administrators, and industry partners from across Alaska during this two-day event. Your vendor registration includes a 6-foot table, two chairs, high-speed internet, all meals, and full access to conference sessions for one representative. The vendor area is centrally located and integrated into the event’s networking flow, including a dedicated vendor mixer on the evening of October 13.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation policy: Full refund (minus $50 service fee) available until October 10, 2025.  No refunds after October 11, 2025.
