Cancellation/Refund Policy:
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and e-mailed to [email protected]. Telephone requests WILL NOT be honored. Confirmed registrants may cancel and receive a full refund, minus a $100 administrative fee, through August 18th, 2023. Cancellations received on or after August 18th, 2023, are non-refundable. ACTE is not responsible for weather-related travel delays or other issues regarding personal travel and no refunds will be given due to these occurrences.

Description
It can be challenging to make every student feel included, connected, and engaged in their learning. This interactive session will share strategies to better support learning engagement and course completion by your students through global issues and skills: 1.       Creating inclusive learning environments to support all students 2.       Connecting learning with real-world contexts to relate to students’ different backgrounds and  life?experiences 3.       Associating?class content from different career clusters with global competence and employability skills Free tools and resources will be highlighted and shared including the Global Social Justice Framework, administrator tools, faculty professional development modules, student resources, and more.

You are invited to join us on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. for a three-course meal prepared by Culinary Arts students at Emily Griffith Technical College. Join us to learn more about the Culinary Arts program and meet students and faculty. Founded in 1916 and located in downtown Denver, Colorado, Emily Griffith Technical College is the adult and postsecondary arm of the Denver Public School district, and is a public technical college committed to providing students with career-ready education and skills. In fact, 82% of students complete their program, 99% earn a license in their field, and 85% get career-track jobs. You don’t want to miss this delicious experience! Please be sure to register for this pre-summit event. Registration includes transportation from the Sonesta Hotel and the meal. Part of the proceeds will support student scholarships.
